T-Storm forcast with rain didn't stop many from flocking to this year's gospel fest. And chile' can we say that the rain and t-storm didn't make their debut, but the cold did! Amen and burrrrrrrr! lol Nevertheless, the event was great!
From the day shows and youth stage, it was on and popin'!
The vendors & event's sponsors was out from Best Buy, Verizon Wireless booth, 1390 AM, Clariol and many more! Who can forget the resounding sounds from our today's leading youth choirs, groups, duo's, drill team, and little Miss Joshlyn Lomax! Yes sir!!!!!!! She's a gem that even had Ray Bady singing her praises.
At the main stage, we bounced and jamed to hand clapping, foot stomping, Charles G. Haynes and The Warriors, New Direction, and Evenlyn Turrentine-Wooten! Oh yes, "God Did It!"She rocked the house!
We saluted our pioneers and....
Then little Miss Joshlyn Lomax was called up to sing a little bar or two for those who missed her performance on saturday and earlier Sunday at 2:50pm! She rallied the audience to their feet while singing hit Donald Lawrence tune, "Encourage Yourself"! It was incredible! I was screaming, "Go Joshlyn!" The whole time!
Moving on....I was excited to see people in the audience from Bet Suday Best: Season One, Tasha Collins, along with a few of Season Two's Finalist who hit the stage for a little singing teaser....Maurice Griffin and Crystal Holland!
The time had moved on and it was time to introduce FANTASIA! Who whoo! lol
I could not have made it back from Dounkin Donuts quick enough to settle in my seat and chow down on some Thai food from the event's vendor while, warming up with my hot choclate before they were ready to belt out Fantasia's name!
So, it was 5. 4. 3. 2. 1 and Fantasia's name was called out and we shouted out to show our love for her!
After she mounted the stage, it was over! She ministered! She grabbed her mom, Diana Barrino and took us to church with one of her favorite songs, "He's Done Enough" . Then she gave her testimony and allowed our youth people to get on the stage with her and praised the Lord! Fantasia spoke into our youth's lives and also let us know that praise is your weapon. No matter what goes in your life. Your praise can turn everything around. For most importantly, if you have Christ, you can do ALL THINGS!
Fantasia's set was over and it was time to call on Kirk Franklin! He came out and showed us how to have fun in the Lord! We danced. Now, if you didn't have anyone with you or a spouse/significant or family member to dance with....you have the Father to dance with! To the singles!
Romance me Lord, Lover of my soul, you're the song of all songs! Dance with me Lord!
