Tony Award Winner...
Heather Headley To Sar in Goodman Theater's Gala Fundraiser
A multi-Grammy Award-nominated and Tony Award winner, Heather Headley will star in the Goodman Theatre's gala fundraiser, to be held at The Fairmont Hotel (200 N Columbus Drive), on May 22. Headley won her Tony Award through her performance in Aida which lead her to the role as Nala in the 'Lion King'. The event begins at 6:30pm with cocktail reception, followed by Headley's 7:30pm performance. There will be dinner and dancing to Ken Arlen's Orchestra. Goodman Theatre's Women's Board will host the event, with proceeds benefiting the Goodman's Educational and Community Engagement programs. This is a black-tie event.

Chicago Winter Dance 2010
This February at Chicago Winter Dance 2010, a celebration of ice skating and dancing in Millennium Park. Enjoy free skating lessons and late night dance parties at the rink each weekend. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion stage becomes an indoor dance floor for free dance lessons, followed by live music and dancing of diverse styles and cultures each week.

Lucky 7 Records, The Wilson Family & Lightening Entertainment inc. are working to put a summer tour together honoring the legendary "GAP BAND".
"The tour's main purpose is honoring Uncle Charlie, Ronnie and Robert Wilson, for their accomplishments in the music world and setting a sound standard for the likes of R. KELLY, GUY, AARON HALL, KEITH SWEAT, BLACKSTREET, MINT CONDITION, JAGGED EDGE, KC & JO-JO, JOE & GINUWINE" says Frank Wilson the CEO of LUCKY 7 RECORDS.
The tour will start at the birth place of the GAP BAND in Tulsa OK. Will feature the third generation of the Wilson's artists like Blaqthoven, Jelly Roll, N E MEANS, C James, Blaq Fuego, guest appearances by the GAP BAND and many feature suprise guests.

Ever since the 1990s, the Gap Band's most famous hits have been sampled and covered by the likes of Nas, Snoop Dogg, Warren G., Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Notorious B.I.G., Blackstreet, Shaquille O'Neal, Mia X, and Mary J. Blige. "Outstanding" was even sampled for a famous 1990s commercial for malt liquor. Recently, "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" was featured in the hit videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on funk radio station Bounce FM.

We recruit minority rising high school seniors and rising college freshman to work in PAID internships at a media companies throughout the United States.
This is our 20th year of helping students build resumes and careers in media/communications. Here are some of the cities we are recruiting in: Ft. Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Eden Prarie, MN; Detroit, MI; Flint, MI; Nashville, TN; Philadelphia, PA; New York City; Elizabethtown, KY; St. Louis, MO; Miami, FL; Orlando, FL; Charlotte, VA; Lincoln, NE; Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; Valdosta, GA; Grand Junction, CO; Louisville, CO; Los Angeles, CA; Sun City, CA; Indianapolis, IN and Renton, WA.
The internships last throughout the students undergraduate college years. Qualified students must have at least a 3.0 GPA, plan to attend a 4-year college, and have an interest in media/communications. Students do not have to major in communications. Selected recipients are PAID and receive a matching scholarship each summer to help pay for college expenses.
